With the artistic talents in thier veins, and Abel y Francisco Castrellón , in 2006, decided to venture into music initially participating in various talent shows in Panama city just like: Crown Star, hosted by Crown Casino, 'Vive La Musica' ( first phase), by TVN and Star 23, conducted by music channel +23.
 
Finally, even in 2006, after these experiences, the brothers Castrellón decide started professionally as singers of the genre of reggae, artist names such as "Los Mellos".
 
Thus, they begin to work independently, creating their songs' lyrics and recording their first single named "La llamada", produced by Di Blasio musically Yakko. A little later, they recorded the music video  in the hands of audiovisual producers:Alvis Gonzalez y Lucho Spada and thereby make themselves known throughout Panama.
 
Shortly after scoring their name on the list of national artists, Los Mellos, are supported by major companies and artists through their talent, charisma and popularity.

Time passed and for Los Mellos, good news kept coming. In mid 2007, Event Music Records, puts its interest in this new musical proposal and after discussions, it was announced as part of a big launch in August 2007, Los Mellos became part of the company.

The Mellos are the authors of other hits like: Un beso,Vete, Confessiones, among others, who have won the hearts of thousands of fans nationally and internationally.
